Sunway Lagoon in Bandar Sunway, about 30 minutes south-west of central Kuala Lumpur, is the city's big family day out: a water park with wave pool and slides, amusement rides, a wildlife park and the Nickelodeon-themed Lost Lagoon, all on one site.

Planning your visit

The park is open from about 10 AM to 6 PM and is closed on Tuesdays, except on Malaysian public and school holidays.
Bring swimwear, a towel and sunscreen. Some rides have minimum height limits.
Plan the whole day: most families arrive at opening and stay until closing.
Add a private car with driver from your Kuala Lumpur hotel and back.
